.XXX is Agreed, Porn Sites will have “Localization”

Finally, porn sites have own place after Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) agreed the new domain making by suffix .xxx. This domain is created to park the porn sites that spread out in the common domain, like .com, .net, .org, and many more.

In the similar side, the special domain also parks the users who want to search pornography. The new suffix domain also gives the easiness for the users to filter the porn sites unwanted. ICANN conference that held in Brussels, Belgium, Friday (25/06/2010), result the decision that domain .xxx can be continued the process as the new top level domain (TLD). Before, ICANN refused 3 times the making of TLD since 2005. But, the last conference cannot reject it. It is suitable with the provision applied for other new suffix domain like .biz for business.

The refusal before is claimed inconsistent with the neutral and objective monitoring that be the ICANN guidance. Some ICANN representative staffs admitted by personal that they are not enjoyed with the decision and finally they agreed with .xxx making because all of the suggestion is suitable with the policy of ICANN.

ICM registry, the institution that have the suggestion of .xxx had completed all of the requirements asked by ICANN, included support lists and minimal candidate users before the domain made. ICM is listed 110.000 users that are being ready to use .xxx as their suffix domain. They also hope that .xxx can be used in 2011. ICM should complete all supports required by ICANN before the new suffix domain is being ready to be used.
